World Book Day...Time to Read
We were delighted to start our special themed day with a whole school assembly opened by singing, 'Lift your name on high,' before welcoming Gareth and Lindsay Gwynne from CEF. They talked about the most important book of all on World Book Day, the Bible and how we might use it daily in our lives. Then they stayed to read some children's stories to the P4/5 class. They really enjoyed this!
Throughout the day we rang a hand bell at 3 different times informing all pupils and staff to read for 10minutes at a time. As well as this there were various book themed activities, designing bunting and book markers on children's favourite books. Prizes were given out for the best designs. Well done everybody 🌟
