The Magpie Primary 4 Art
15th Jan 2025
We had such an enjoyable time learning about the painting The Magpie by Claude Monet on Tuesday afternoon. We heard about Monet’s life and how this painting was supposed to be one of Monet’s best.
The boys and girls looked carefully at the painting before beginning, noticing various parts of the painting like the wall and trees as well as the Magpie itself.
The children used charcoal pencils to sketch the wall and trees and then started with paint to colour the sky and ground. In the background we listened to some Winter relaxing music while we painted. Next week we will finish our paintings off.
