Shared Education Trip to Discover More About Famine and Migration
24th Nov 2019
Pupils of P6 & P7 in Hamiltonsbawn and St. Peter’s have been studying The Potato Famine and Emigration this term. To enhance and bring this topic to life, the pupils all travelled to The Ulster Folk Park in Omagh. They had a guided tour, visiting homes and conditions in the 1800s and early 1900s. Each building had a member of staff illustrating life at the time. Pupils even got to sample some typical food of the time too. Another fantastic Shared Education Day with our friends from St. Peter’s.
