P6/7 3D Work using Clay & Remembrance themed Silhouettes during Sunset
How much fun did we have with Mr. Hutchinson on Wednesday afternoon? We explored patterns and Christmas features before narrowing our choice to Christmas trees and gingerbread men.
We then used rolling pins to roll out our clay, before marking into it and adding features to create Christmas decorations. After drying thoroughly, these will be painted this week and ribbon attached, just in time to hang on family trees for Christmas 🎄
Also featured are some photos of Remembrance themed skylines and silhouettes which were recently created. The skylines are extremely eye catching with the range of colours blended together using sponges.
Finally, a number of weeks studying artists, famous for their ‘still life’ paintings eg. Paul Cezanne, inspired our pupils to create still life studies of their own. They studied arrangements of fruit and pumpkins to great effect. Check out these works displayed throughout our corridors. Well done everybody 👏
