P4/5 Shared Education - WAU Castles workshops

Today we had the pleasure of P4/5 and Mrs Bradshaw visit from St. Peter’s Collegelands. We continued our shared topic on, ‘Castles’ with Mr. Hutchinson teaching the pupils about the artist Paul Klee, through the painting, ‘Castle in the Sun’. The pupils recreated a group interpretation of the painting using a range of media.  They concluded with a gallery session to evaluate each other’s work.

Workshop 2 was held in the hall where Miss Henderson and Mrs Bradshaw encouraged their groups to make castles using junk recyclable materials. This proved great fun and created lots of discussion opportunities between all of the mixed groups.

An opportunity to play together in the park was the ‘icing on the cake’ over lunchtime and concluded with a discussion about Mondays trip to Carrickfergus Castle. Can’t wait!
